Cyberprofit Ltd. is a Moscow-based business development consultancy and on the ground facilitator focused on helping foreign companies to develop business with Russia and identify potential clients, business partners, distributors, manufacturers, suppliers and developers of different products and technologies there.

The company worked on projects dealing with software engineering, garments, electronics, optics, laser equipment, biotechnology, semiconductors, steel, rare earth metals, isotopes, fertilizers and chemicals, fish, timber, ball bearings, spare parts for Russian-made equipment, etc.

Cyberprofit's founders have been involved in international business in the former USSR since 1982. They worked on developing scientific and technological co-operation between Russian and international R&D organizations, participated in preparation and publishing a series of Businessman's Guides, coordinated technical projects on establishing electronics manufacturing and the commercialization of Russian technology, participated in arranging the first Russian/Asian technology conference in Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan for the Academy of Sciences and the Russian President's Administration, which was the catalyst for a US$20 million investment in Russia's semiconductor industry, coordinated a major garment manufacturing project in the Russian Far East for the American consortium, arranged numerous overseas business trips for delegations representing industrial and business circles of the main Russian regions and fact finding missions to Russia for American, European and Asian companies.

Cyberprofit founders maintain close relations with the Russian government bodies (eg. the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian Academy of Sciences), regional administrations, the key public organizations (eg. the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian Public Center for Internet Technologies, the Moscow International Business Association), the Russian and international manufacturing, trading, financial and other companies.

Alexander Sapozhnikov, Managing Director of Cyberprofit Ltd., has been one of the leaders in developing business and investment links between foreign companies and Russia. Prior to joining Cyberprofit Ltd., Mr. Sapozhnikov was Joint Consultant with Hong Kong's Image Alpha Limited. Image Alpha started operating in 1989 and has been active in Asian-Russian strategic consulting (business development, manufacturing, sourcing, investment).

From 1993 to 2001 Mr.Sapozhnikov was also the Deputy Editor-in-Chief for international "Russian Business & Trade Connections" magazine. His articles on Russian business were published in Asian Wall Street Journal, Asian Inc., South China Morning Post, Asian Sources and other periodicals. He was a regular speaker at conferences and seminars in Asia, Russia, UK, Turkey, Cyprus and USA on both technology and Russian issues.
