Sourcing

We receive many enquiries from companies who are looking for Russian suppliers of manufactured goods or commodities (everything from laser equipment and semiconductor chips to capital equipment, rare-earth metals, fertilizers and fish). Since the standard "sourcing coordination" service was too expensive for companies only making initial enquiries or who really just wanted an introduction, Cyberprofit now offers a standard low cost "sourcing service" to develop a list of pre-qualified initial contacts. The standardized service yields a qualified list of ( usually) 3-10 relevant suppliers (although sometimes, they may only be one or two). Each supplier is called (we cover the long-distance charges), the relevant contact person identified, the supplier's ability to actually supply is evaluated and the supplier is prepared to expect direct communication from our foreign client. The projects are usually completed within a week.

Identifying clients/distributors/business partners

We assist foreign suppliers and service providers in identifying potential clients/distributors/business partners in Russia and getting in touch with them. The standardized low cost service yields a qualified list of ~10 relevant clients/distributors/business partners. Each company is called, the relevant contact person identified, the company's interest to cooperate with a particular foreign company is evaluated and it is prepared to expect direct communication from our foreign client. The projects are usually completed within a week. This service is not meant to supply an exhaustive list of all potential clients/distributors/business partners, but rather to maximize the possibility of starting real business discussions with interested Russian companies. The original list can always be expanded later.

Contacting relevant Russian companies

When our client gets a qualified list of relevant Russian companies, he can contact them either direct on his own, or we can arrange preliminary business discussions with local companies on his behalf (this might be much more efficient because communication with Russian companies is a perpetual problem: not all Russian businessmen speak English and use e-mail). This service is charged on an hourly basis, per man hour - i.e. our time taken on preparing relevant letters in Russian, distributing the letters and samples among relevant local companies, making follow-up calls, meeting Russian businessmen and updating our client about the results of initial business discussions.

Business trips to Russia

If our client decides to visit Russia in order to meet potential suppliers/business partners/distributors, we can put together his itinerary and do all necessary preparations, co-ordinate business meetings, provide translation, etc. Businessmen from the USA, UK, Hong Kong, Germany, Italy, Korea and other countries have already taken advantage of our services. As a rule, our English speaking consultants escort our clients in business trips in Russia.

Ongoing services

When our client starts doing business in Russia, we can follow up and update him on a regular basis about what's going on. As a rule, such kind of 'hands on' coordination is required during the initial period of 6-12 months. We charge a monthly retainer fee for this work.

Promotional exercises and exhibitions

We help foreign clients to promote their products/services in Russia by arranging promotional seminars in Moscow and other Russian cities. We help to translate marketing materials into Russian and distribute invitations among qualified Russian companies.

Testing and certification

A foreign company must get all necessary approvals from the Russian government before it starts actual exports into Russia. We help foreign companies to get in touch with relevant official bodies which are authorized to test and certify imported goods and can follow up how certification of our client's products goes on.

Manufacturing in Russia

When a foreign company enters the Russian market, it is important to understand how it can become more competitive and increase sales volumes. There are many ways to achieve this goal. For example, if a foreign company starts manufacturing consumer goods, or foodstuffs in Russia, they become much more competitive against imports. Also, foreign companies might consider manufacturing garments in Russia for export to North America, to take advantage of the fact that "Made in Russia" garments are essentially free from quota there. We help foreign clients to find appropriate manufacturing premises in Russia, select good partners and personnel and solve other related problems.

Your liaison office in Russia

We can act as our client's liaison office in Russia. We provide permanent contact address, tel./fax, e-mail in Moscow and a secretary, keep stock of necessary marketing materials so that when interested Russian companies call, they can get immediate intelligent answers to their questions.
